| Like all 59 Venture Scout Units around Hertfordshire, Goblin VSU
provides opportunities for young adults to take part in an active
programme with the emphasis on activities, community involvement and
personal development.
Who
are we?
Goblin
Venture Scout Unit (VSU) is the Venture Scout Section of 2nd
Bengeo Scout Group. Venture Scouts can be male or female between the ages
of 15 to 20. The Unit is organised by a committee elected by the Venture
Scouts themselves. With assistance form leaders the committee runs the
week to week programme and plan trips throughout the year. At present
there's around 20 members in the Unit.
What
do we do?
We try and keep the
weekly programme as varied as possible. From Indoor Climbing to Pottery,
Cooking to Mountain Biking, there's something for everyone.
Also throughout the year the Unit embarks on trips away. Regular trips
include walking and cycling weekends to Derbyshire, Brecon Beacons,
Snowdonia and longer summer trips
to venues such as Lochearnhead
and this year to Switzerland.
We also take part in organised County events such as Peak
Assault, The Gathering and Hertfordshire European
Navigation.
