Thursday was another early start,
but this time to catch the bus to go white water rafting. The smelly,
soggy wet suits which were issued, suited some of us better than others
and ensured a few laughs before we'd even caught sight of the river!
Although a few of us were slightly nervous of this activity, everyone had
an excellent time and fortunately no one took a swim in the extremely cold
glacial river (but I think we all came close!) Once we'd returned to
Ruedy-Hus, the rest of the afternoon was spent organising the evening
entertainment.........
That evening we joined other groups staying in the area and attended a Swiss evening
at a restaurant in Engstligenalp. A meal was followed by some entertainment.
Yodelling ensued (!), but Goblin VSU stole the limelight with a rendition of
Banzai, the Channel 4 game show. With Uggie presenting challenges which
included 'Who's got the hairest legs?' we couldn't fail but to impress. Nice one Uggi!
